Abstract
Una volta messa a fuoco la relazione fra amicizia e compassione (intesa nel senso etimologico di cum passio cioè di “corrispondenza di stati d’animo”, “comunanza di sentimenti”) – riscontrabile tanto nella ricezione duecentesca del sistema etico aristotelico quanto nella concezione ciceroniana di amicizia come consensio (Laelius de amicitia VI, 20) – il presente contributo indaga il ruolo che svolge la condivisione emotiva nella costruzione delle comunità di lettori e lettrici che la Vita nova porta in scena, nonché la ricerca di compartecipazione affettiva che l’Alighieri mette in atto attraverso la poesia e il racconto, da inquadrare anche entro l’antropologia cristiana dell’affettività.
