[...] Mit Wirkung vom 01. Oktober 2021 übernahm Frau Dr. Birgit Futterer die Leitung der Abteilung Geologischer Dienst im Landesamt für Bergbau, Geologie und Rohstoffe Brandenburg (LBGR). Frau Dr. Futterer absolvierte ein Hochschulstudium der Geophysik an der TU Bergakademie Freiberg und promovierte später an der BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Ihre beruflichen Stationen umfassen wissenschaftliche Tätigkeiten (u. a. eine W2-Professur) mit Fokus auf hydrodynamische Strömungssimulationen sowie Führungspositionen im Bergbau- bzw. Rohstoffsektor (Vattenfall Europe Mining AG / Lausitz Energie Bergbau AG). Sie trat die Nachfolge von Angelika Seidemann an, die die Abteilung seit 2012 leitete.
