Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This work provides novel and pioneer considerations concerning the first phase of the Federal District Archive Journal. Instituted on 5th August, 1893, after the Proclamation of the Republic and in the midst of the political, social and economic changes brought about by the new political regime, the very conception of the Journal reflected the beginnings of the new era. Although Mello Moraes Filho – the Journal’s mentor – did not reproduce the discussions that excited the social, political and institutional scene of the period, the Journal did serve to build-up and consolidate republican notions and thought by carefully selecting the articles published and the subjects they broached. The study intends to establish the ties between the sources linked to founding episodes of our national identity, the advent of the city of Rio de Janeiro as a territorial heritage and the role of city councillors and the interrelationship of their influence with the construction of the republican state.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
