Un portrait des discours sur l’autisme en littérature contemporaine

Abstract
La présente recherche se penche sur la représentation de l’autisme dans la littérature, à partir d’un corpus primaire de six œuvres québécoises et d’un corpus secondaire de 32 ouvrages originaires du Québec, de France, des États-Unis, d’Angleterre et de Suisse. Tous les ouvrages, qu’ils soient écrits par une personne neurotypique ou neurodivergente, contiennent au moins un personnage autiste. En m’appuyant sur différentes approches théoriques comme les approches narratologiques, l’analyse du personnage et la sociocritique, je tenterai d’étudier les discours sur l’autisme dans ces ouvrages, à la fois ceux formulés par des personnages et ceux entretenus par la narration. Il sera donc question de vérifier de quelle manière l’autisme est décrit et discuté et de comparer les discours observés à ceux présents hors du monde fictionnel, le tout à partir d’une perspective autiste.
