Abstract
The article examines some aspects of the history of the formation and activity of the Saratov juried bar in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The author examines the main stages of the intra-institutional self-organization of local lawyers, as well as analyzes individual issues of professional and socio-political activities of sworn attorneys and their assistants in the complex and controversial era of late imperial Russia. In particular, the article concludes that the small cohort of the Saratov juried bar has made a significant contribution to providing qualified legal assistance to the population of the province over a quarter of a century of its activity.
