Abstract
Las piezas que se editan en las líneas que siguen salieron a la luz en una parcela agrícola localizada en el municipio de Belorado (Burgos), fruto de un descubrimiento casual debido a J. I. Martín Delgado que, diligentemente, las cedió al ayuntamiento de la localidad2 . Representa un hallazgo que no resulta extraño en este entorno, en el que se ha recuperado hasta la fecha un repertorio epigráfico de cronología romana que supera la treintena de ejemplares3 , presumiblemente vinculado al principal asentamiento documentado en la zona: La Mesa. Se trata de una región situada en la frontera entre los territorios ocupados por las etnias de los Berones y Autrigones que, a partir del siglo I d. C., muestra ya una evidente romanización, tanto en lo que respecta a los asentamientos documentados, como a la epigrafía recuperada. Específicamente, en el caso de Belorado el enclave de La Mesa funcionaría como cabecera regional, asociado a un ramal secundario de la vía de Italia a Hispania4 . Las nuevas inscripciones se han incorporado a la colección del Centro Jacobeo de Belorado, donde realizamos su autopsia, por encargo de su ayuntamiento, con fecha 3 de septiembre de 2025.
