Abstract
Competency-based learning, from the subject of Teaching, Learning and Evaluation of the Master's Degree in Higher University Teaching, divided into modules, allows the future teacher to work on analytical, critical, reflective, creative, communicational and digital thinking. In order to verify such developments, 32 students of the referred Master, of both sexes (24 women), aged 25 to 62 years (M = 39, SD = 10.8), in a Spanish University, were recruited in a non-probabilistic and incidental way. The study of the responses to a test constructed ad hoc with 20 items assessable with five-anchor Likert scales, on critical thinking, reflective thinking, creative thinking, communication, digital and technical skills, and excellent overall reliability (αC = .91), recorded at the beginning and end of the first quarter of the 2024-2025 academic year, indicated improvements in each of these skills, endorsing the idea of the goodness of the educational intervention as a facilitator of increases in the indicators of the skills evaluated.
