De Désert à Poisson d'or : reconstitution du processus de récriture chez J.M.G. Le Clézio

Abstract
Cette contribution explore le processus de récriture intentionnelle à l'œuvre dans Poisson d'or de J.M.G. Le Clézio, à partir de l'architecture narrative de Désert, publié dix-sept ans plus tôt. À travers une analyse structurale croisant les trajectoires des héroïnes Lalla et Laïla, nous démontrons comment Le Clézio a repris et modifié les atomes narratifs de l'un de ses propres romans pour adapter une même trame aux contraintes d'un personnage plus déraciné, plus contemporain, mais tout aussi en quête d'identité. Trois atomes narratifs communs aux deux ouvrages sont examinés : la quête de repères identitaires, le conflit entre assignation sociale et liberté, et l'expérience occidentale comme voie d'exil ou de révélation. Grâce à une combinaison méthodologique de l'approche de Propp et de la théorie des possibles narratifs de Bremond, l'étude met en évidence que ce phénomène de récriture, loin d'être un simple auto-plagiat d'intrigue, constitue un véritable geste esthétique et poétique, révélant la constance des thématiques lecléziennes et leur capacité à se régénérer selon les figures et les contextes.
