Abstract
Cet article présente, par le biais d’une analyse archivistique, l’implication de la CSN dans les luttes pour le logement à Montréal entre 1968 et 1974. Il explore l’étendue du « deuxième front » syndical en détaillant l’action syndicale, son idéologie et sa structure organisationnelle, tout en démontrant comment la CSN a élargi son champ d’intervention en adoptant une forme d’action directe et en assumant un rôle de chef de file dans diverses revendications sociales. L’article propose également une réflexion sur l’évolution du syndicalisme, en comparant cette période historique avec l’implication syndicale contemporaine.
