Abstract
En este ensayo exploro cómo fui desvaneciéndome del archivo fotográfico familiar a la par que me descubría como un chico “diferente”. A través de la noción del miedo me cuestiono acerca de la manera en la cual me retraía por no cumplir con las expectativas de género impuestas. Las imágenes encontradas en un cajón en casa de mi madre las entrelazo con distintas conversaciones ocurridas entre algunos parientes que escuché por accidente. En ellas se hablaba de mi como un “niño raro”. Así, dichas escuchas accidentales devinieron en heridas encarnadas que fueron difuminándome de una dinámica familiar reflejada en las imágenes donde se cuentan la historia reciente de mi árbol genealógico. Finalmente, propongo que regresar a las fotos de los archivos familiares es uno de los caminos para resignificar nuestro presente como disidencias sexogenéricas.
