Abstract

A VOPA for a wide range of uses, including those needed during an emergency, is developed in this paper. The robot can be controlled from a smartphone using voice commands from a distance. It can generate turning, start, stop action, can move around without on an obstacle. Voice commands are communicated via Bluetooth (HC-05 module) for real-time processing. The voice command translated into text commands is sent to robots. The setup is based on Arduino Uno microcontroller card as well - which enables simple localization. Performance analysis of long-range voice control is conducted experimentally and its initial performance is reported to be promising.
