Abstract
Cet article analyse la couverture radiophonique du coup d’État militaire survenu au Niger le 26 juillet 2023. L’objectif principal est de comprendre comment cette prise du pouvoir exécutif nigérien est relayée par les journalistes grâce à une analyse comparée de quatre radios à statuts différents. En s’inspirant des perspectives théoriques portant sur le concept de cadrage médiatique, cette étude de cas a permis d’aller au-delà des dichotomies habituelles entre pratiques démocratiques et liberté de presse. La prise en compte des conditions réelles d’exercice du journalisme contribue à une meilleure compréhension de la couverture radiophonique de ce nouveau coup d’État dans la sous-région ouest-africaine.
