Abstract
La représentation des femmes par une construction sociale du genre est au cœur du féminisme. Mais de quel féminisme parle-t-on, défini à travers quelles luttes idéologiques ? Les contradictions de la critique de chacune des quatre vagues du féminisme est portée par maints courant idéologiques (libéral, radical, différentialiste, intersectionnel, néolibéral) qui mettent différemment en perspective la transformation de la place des femmes dans la société. A-t-on assisté à une évolution d’une vague dans la suivante, formant la continuité d’un même mouvement, ou à une variété d’idéologies s’opposant les unes aux autres ? Toute conception du rapport au genre requiert d’être croisée avec d’autres perspectives pour comprendre les conditions de sa mutation. La confusion actuelle entre sexe et genre ainsi que l’invalidation de la binarité biologique des sexes ont-elles atteint des limites au-delà desquelles, les femmes, en perdant leur visibilité publique, ne seraient plus reconnues comme telles ?
