Abstract
1826’da Yeniçeri Ocağı’nın lağvedilmesi yeni askerî düzene geçişin önündeki büyük engeli ortadan kaldırmıştı. Kurulan yeni ordu “Asakir-i Mansure-i Muhammediye”, kısa vadede kendisinden bekleneni tam anlamı ile veremeyince ülkenin daha iyi savunulabilmesi için 1834 yılında Meclis-i Şura’da Redîf-i Asâkir-i Mansûre adıyla bir yedek ordu kurulmasına karar verildi. Karar II. Mahmud tarafından onaylandıktan sonra taşrada redif birlikleri kurulmaya başlandı. Redif askerî teşkilatının kurulmasını bildiren kanunnamenin vilayet ve sancaklara ulaşması ile beraber taburlar oluşturulmuştu. Sancaklarda toplanacak asker sayısı ve bu işin icrasının kimler tarafından gerçekleştirileceği hususunda çalışmalar yapıldı. Redif birliği kurulması düşünülen yerlerde bu iş mütesellim, mutasarrıf ve valilere bırakılmıştı. Zamanla Anadolu’nun pek çok yerinde redif birlikleri teşkil edildi. Bu çalışmada, Balkan Harbi’nde Bolayır Muharebelerine katılan ve 8 Şubat 1913’te Bolayır’ın doğusunda bulunan Sülüklü Tabya’dan hareket ederek Soğukdere’nin kuzeyinde, Bulgarlarla yaptıkları cephe muharebesinde büyük başarının yanı sıra ağır surette kayıp veren Trabzon Redif Taburu’nun harp ceridesi üzerinde durulacaktır. Bir yıllık (22 Eylül 1328-9 Teşrinievvel 1329 [5 Ekim 1912-22 Ekim 1913]) harp ceridesi çerçevesinde Trabzon Redif Taburu’nun seferberlik emri, toplanması, muharebe meydanına sevki, harp nizamı ve bölgedeki savaşları harp ceridesi çerçevesinde gün yüzüne çıkartılacaktır.
