Abstract
Yaklaşık otuz yıl süren Hulefâ-i Râşidîn döneminden sonra, Muâviye b. Ebî Süfyân’ın temellerini attığı Emevî hânedanlığı 661-750 yılları arasında hüküm sürmüştür. Bu ilk İslam hânedanlığının yıkılışından sonra, Büyük Sahrâ, Mağrib ve Endülüs bölgelerinde çok sayıda devlet kurulmuş, Müslümanların Sahrâ’da kurdukları ilk devlet ise Murâbıtlar olmuştur. Bir asırdan sadece birkaç yıl fazla (1042-1147) süren kısa ömrüne rağmen, Murâbıtlar bölge devletleri içinde İslam coğrafyasının en geniş topraklarına sahip olmuş, Sahrâ ve Mağrib’in askerî, siyasî ve ekonomik gücünü, Endülüs’ün; kültür, sanat ve bilim zenginliğiyle birleştirerek İslam medeniyetine en büyük katkıyı sunmuştur. Murâbıtlar, İslam kültür ve medeniyeti içerisinde Müslümanların Batı’daki en önemli örneğini teşkil eden İslam devletinin kitaplaşmış halidir. Bu kitap çalışması sadece İslam Tarihi alanında değil, batı İslam medeniyetinin mezhep anlayışına ışık tutması açısından, İslam Mezhepleri Tarihi alanına da katkılar sunan bir içeriğe sahiptir.
