Smart Microgrid Simulation and Techno-Economic Optimization for Phuket Island Using MATLAB
Bibliographic record
Abstract
This study investigates the techno-economic feasibility of a grid-connected microgrid system consisting solar photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine generators (WTG), and a battery energy storage system (BESS) with the various geographic climate indices in Phuket Island, Thailand. The simulation study is performed in MATLAB Simscape. The results demonstrate the optimal system configuration is$1,178 \text{kW}$PV, 635 kW WTG, and$3,961 \text{kWh}$BESS. The energy generation shown the system generates$\text{6, 1 7 7} \text{MWh}$from PV, 4,143 MWh from WTG. The BESS dispatches$9,155 \text{MWh}$counted as storage throughput. whereas the energy generation shown is provided by utility grid with quantity of$\text{2 4, 4 8 8 ~ M W h}$. Economically, the system requires an initial capital expenditure of approximately$\text{4. 5 0}$million US$. Operating expenses declined from$\text{1. 0 6}$million to$\text{0. 8 8}$million US$ over time. The net present cost and the levelized cost of energy are estimated at$\text{1 7. 1 6}$million US$ and$0.3 3 \text{U S} \$ / \text{k W h}$, respectively.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
