FSC sertifikasının yerel toplumlar üzerindeki sosyal etkileri: Köyceğiz İlçesi örneği

Abstract
Bu çalışma, Orman İdare Konseyi (Forest Stewardship Council, FSC) orman yönetim sertifikasının Muğla ili Köyceğiz ilçesinde yaşayan orman köylüleri üzerindeki sosyal etkilerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında, FSC uygulamalarının köy yaşamına olan yansımaları; yaşam kalitesi, ekonomik faydalar, katılım düzeyi ve çevresel farkındalık gibi sosyal boyutlar çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Nicel araştırma desenine sahip olan çalışmada, 2025 yılı itibarıyla Köyceğiz ilçesine bağlı 12 orman köyünde yaşayan toplam 471 bireyle yüz yüze anket yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve non-parametrik testler (Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal-Wallis H) aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, katılımcıların önemli bir kısmı FSC hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip değildir. Çevresel koruma, eğitim ve farkındalık konularında olumlu görüşler bildirilirken, yaşam kalitesi, gelir artışı ve istihdam olanakları konularında cinsiyete ve yaş gruplarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar, FSC uygulamalarının çevresel ve eğitsel katkısının daha belirgin olduğunu, ekonomik etkilerinin ise sınırlı kaldığını göstermektedir. Çalışma, sürdürülebilir orman yönetimi uygulamalarının yerel halk üzerindeki sosyal etkilerini ortaya koyarak Köyceğiz örneklemine dayalı bulgular, Türkiye’deki politika tartışmalarına katkılar sunmaktadır.
