Abstract
Село Лысково с давних пор относилось к крупным ремесленным центрам Нижегородской губернии. Среди многочисленных промыслов известность получило производство металлических шкатулок и сундуков, декорированных росписью по трафарету. Однако их производство было распространено не только в частных заведениях, но и в организациях, имевших тесные связи с Нижегородским губернским земством. В статье рассматривается история земской кузнечно-слесарной мастерской: анализируются организационные и технологические особенности ее деятельности, определяется роль конкретных людей в ее работе, выявляется значение мастерской для общей истории ремесла села Лысково.
