Abstract
Cet article explore le concept du « complexe de l’ethnographe » - selon Duvigneau, 2007 - , entendu comme une posture liminaire favorisant la transformation personnelle et cognitive par le dépaysement et l’interaction avec des environnements physiques et sociaux différents. En s’appuyant sur les trois dimensions des rites de passage d’Arnold Van Gennep (séparation, marge, agrégation) et la théorie de la formation tripolaire de Gaston Pineau (autoformation, écoformation, hétéroformation), l’auteur analyse les processus formatifs à l’œuvre dans les situations d’entre-deux. La vie et l’œuvre de Jean Malaurie, notamment son expérience au Groenland (1950-1951), illustrent ces processus de métamorphose. L’article met en lumière le rôle du changement de perspective et de la curiosité dans l’apprentissage. Il invite l’éducation relative à l’environnement à construire et créer les conditions pratiques favorables à cette posture liminaire porteuse d’un changement ontologique.
