Abstract
En littérature, l’autothéorie comme méthode combinant écriture de soi et théories critiques fait l’objet d’une popularité grandissante dans les milieux littéraires et académiques depuis les années 2010. En plus d’en faire un bref historique générique et de nommer ses principales caractéristiques, cet article brosse un portrait autothéorique du milieu littéraire au Québec, des années 1970 à un extrême contemporain dynamique. L’objectif est de mettre en lumière les particularités de l’autothéorie dans le contexte québécois, sans toutefois la figer dans un cadre limitant, afin d’en conserver sa portée radicale telle qu’elle s’est affirmée dans les pratiques critiques, féministes et queer jusqu’à ce jour. Loin de vouloir offrir un portrait exhaustif, cet article constitue un instantané d’une scène littéraire autothéorique au Québec.
