Abstract
This article examines the Canadian aporetic condition in public policy through cultural resurgence and ecological transition. Drawing on Indigenous political theory, ecofeminism, and democratic thought, it analyzes several National Film Board of Canada works and Indigenous-led stewardship initiatives as cases that show how tensions between treaty relationships and resource extraction, climate justice and economic security, and plural nations and national frameworks, shape governance. The study of these cases, from the point of view of language revitalization, co-governance, and climate debates present the aporetic condition as a practical framework for policy learning, inclusive deliberation, and hybrid institutional design in Canada and other settler-colonial contexts.
