Temperamento Infantil e Envolvimento Parental: Um Estudo com Famílias de Crianças de 4 a 6 anos

Abstract
O presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar relações entre temperamento infantil e envolvimento parental, em famílias formadas por mãe, pai e ao menos uma criança com idade entre 4 e 6 anos. Os participantes foram 150 mães e 150 pais (N = 300), que responderam a instrumentos para avaliação do temperamento da criança e do envolvimento parental. As análises estatísticas revelaram correlações entre o temperamento e o envolvimento. No entanto, algumas dimensões do temperamento e do envolvimento que se correlacionaram foram diferentes para mãe e pai, sugerindo que as interações dessas variáveis podem ser influenciadas pelo gênero dos genitores. Foram discutidas implicações do temperamento infantil e do envolvimento parental no desenvolvimento individual dos membros da família e nas interações familiares.
