O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um estudo do comportamento estrutural das treliças mistas de aço e concreto, enfatizando a evolução das tensões normais e das flechas, inclusive após a plastificação total do banzo inferior. Para tanto, são apresentados sete estudos de casos, variando-se as dimensões do banzo superior, das diagonais e da laje de concreto, a configuração geométrica das diagonais e, por fim, acrescentando-se uma testeira de concreto acima da laje. Como instrumento para a análise numérica, é feita uma modelagem em elementos finitos, com auxilio do software \"Ansys\", na qual se admite que a treliça mista é escorada durante a fase construtiva e que o vínculo entre a laje e o banzo superior é rígido. Quanto aos materiais empregados, adota-se para o concreto o diagrama tensão-deformação proposto pelo CEB - FIP Model Code (1990), com pico de tensão igual à resistência média do concreto aos 28 dias de idade. Para o aço, considera-se o diagrama com trecho inicial elástico linear, seguido de um patamar em regime plástico e do trecho inicial do encruamento. Com base nos resultados obtidos, são discutidas as diretrizes para projeto da norma canadense Canadian Standards Association (CSA) 1989 e apresentados subsídios para a elaboração da Norma Brasileira sobre estruturas mistas
