Abstract
Trata-se de um estudo exploratório e documental realizado a partir dos dados disponibilizados pelo Censo da Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação da Federação Brasileira de Associações de Bibliotecários, Cientistas da Informação e Instituições (FEBAB) com o apoio do Conselho Federal de Biblioteconomia (CFB) e da Associação Brasileira de Educação em Ciência da Informação (Abecin). O universo da pesquisa concentra-se em 458 pessoas que responderam ao Censo, residentes em Santa Catarina, dos 4.841 que participaram nacionalmente. Os dados foram analisados a partir das esferas de perfil socioeconômico, formação acadêmica e atuação profissional. Entre os resultados encontrados, podemos delimitar que o retrato se constitui de mulheres brancas cisgênero, que atuam entre 10 e 15 anos na área, formadas pela UFSC, na faixa etária entre 41 e 45 anos, com pouco envolvimento nas entidades de classe, somente com graduação, recebendo entre 3 e 4 salários-mínimos.
