Abstract
The research and understanding of interdisciplinary aspects to compose the universe of creation, they become important for the development of choreographic trends. It was from the proposal to add new aesthetic settings for creative processes in dance that emerged this search. The dissertation is devoted to the iconographic study of pictorial works depicting the dance performed by Edgar Degas, French painter and sculptor who joined the Impressionist movement in the last quarter of the nineteenth- century. Through these iconographic analyzes of paintings was held experiments in dance as resulting end product of research a show titled Políptico XIX-XXI. The result shows a possibility of linking image, iconography and dance, showing that creative processes can be used for elements observed through the study and analysis of still images of a work.
