Este trabalho investiga a obra literária e a obra cinematográfica da autora francesa Marguerite Duras, especialmente no que diz respeito às interpolações entre essas duas linguagens distintas. A partir da questão "onde estão as marcas de intertextualidade no trabalho de Marguerite Duras?", diversos campos do saber contribuem e constituem as análises e os comentários apresentados sobre os filmes Le camion (1977), Aurelia Steiner (Melbourne) (1979), Aurelia Steiner (Vancouver) (1979), Jaune le soleil (1971), e La femme du Gange (1974) , além dos livros La douleur (1985) e Le ravissement de Lol V. Stein (1964). Essa dissertação é estruturada a partir de textos ou capítulos independentes que, em turnos, analisam as obras do corpus proposto a partir de uma gama de autores: Giorgio Agamben e um preâmbulo à discussão estética; Henri Bergson e a duração, Julia Kristeva com o conceito de intertextualidade; Linda Hutcheon com o conceito de adaptação. Todos os textos estão apoiados nos conceitos e no vocabulário encontrados na obra de Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari, especialmente no que diz respeito ao conceito de rizoma – pode-se dizer que a organização proposta neste trabalho é rizomática: desmontável e re-articulável.
