Abstract
Na região Nordeste, a revista Educação em Debate (EemD) é o periódico mais antigo na área de educação, com mais de quarenta anos de existência. Dessa forma, é com satisfação que disponibilizamos o primeiro número do ano de 2019. Nesta publicação, temos a participação de autores vinculados a instituições de ensino superior (IES) brasileiras e estrangeiras. Reforçando a internacionalização do nosso periódico, contamos com artigos de pesquisadores vinculados à Universidade do Quebec em Montreal (Canadá), à Universidade Autônoma de Lisboa (Portugal), à Universidade do Minho (Portugal) e à Universidade do Norte (Paraguai).
