Desenvolvimento motor de bebês de alto risco no primeiro ano de vida: influência da prematuridade e do peso ao nascer

Abstract
Objetivo: avaliar o desenvolvimento motor de bebês de alto risco, nascidos prematuros e abaixo de 2.500 g, com idade corrigida até os 12 meses. Método: tratase de um estudo observacional, analítico e transversal. Participaram do estudo 149 bebês pré-termos com idade corrigida de 0 a 12 meses, nascidos com peso abaixo de 2.500 g e cadastrados no Ambulatório de Alto Risco do Centro Clínico da Universidade de Caxias do Sul (Ceclin-UCS). Para avaliação dos bebês foi utilizada a Alberta InfantMotor Scale (AIMS) e um questionário para avaliar as características biológicas e ambientais. Foi utilizada estatística descritiva, o teste Qui-quadrado de Pearson eANOVA (p<0,05). Resultados: o desempenho motor entre os níveis de prematuridade (p=0,75 e p=0,89) e peso ao nascer (p=0,53 e p=0,2) indicaram não haver diferença significativa entre as categorias. O pior desempenho motor foi observado nos bebês prematuros moderados e de extremo baixo peso. Conclusão: neste estudo, os diferentes níveis de prematuridade e de peso ao nascer demonstraram resultados semelhantes no desempenho motor. A influência de múltiplos fatores parecem determinar os atrasos observados em bebês de alto risco. [resumo fornecido pelo autor]
