"Can I tell you what the boss did to me?": ruptures and continuities from the memories of domestic workers in São Paulo (2014-2024)

Abstract
Ao longo da história, especialmente no contexto do Brasil, onde o motor social colonial foi impulsionado pela mão de obra escravizada, as trabalhadoras domésticas sofreram várias formas de exploração e opressão. Passaram-se séculos desde as amas de leite e escravizadas domésticas na América Portuguesa até as trabalhadoras domésticas no Brasil contemporâneo; no entanto, é possível observar continuidades ao longo desse período. Entendendo-as como sujeitos históricos, podemos considerar ainda que elas resistem individual e coletivamente, haja vista a existência de sindicatos e associações, bem como a conquista da Lei Complementar n°150/2015, que garantiu uma importante ampliação de direitos para a categoria. Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar as rupturas, recriações e continuidades no trabalho doméstico a partir dos relatos contidos nas entrevistas que realizamos com trabalhadoras e ex-trabalhadoras domésticas em diferentes regiões do estado de São Paulo. As análises foram realizadas com base nas relações entre gênero, raça e classe, adotando-se a perspectiva da interseccionalidade como recorte, ainda que a principal metodologia empregada, isto é, a história oral, nos permitiu apreender outras nuances das memórias e histórias de vida dessas mulheres. Como resultados da análise das entrevistas, observamos que após a implementação das novas legislações, houve alguns impactos significativos que permitiram com que parte das trabalhadoras passasse a obter justiça e maiores garantias de direitos. No entanto, é possível afirmar também que a partir do desenrolar dos processos históricos que envolvem lutas por direitos, micros e macros conquistas, novas legislações nos diferentes contextos e sobretudo na última década, as trabalhadoras domésticas ainda enfrentam uma realidade complexa, em que resistem de diferentes formas contra as desigualdades e preconceitos que ainda sofrem por exercerem a sua profissão.
