Abstract

Aos 90 dias, o exame histopatológico revelou a presença de um tecido fibroso cicatricial. O quarto artigo teve como objetivo apresentar um caso clínico de um canino Labrador Retriever macho, três anos de idade, com um ameloblastoma acantomatoso recorrente tratado com mandibulectomia unilateral rostral com posterior reconstrução com uma placa reta de titânio e autoenxerto da crista ilíaca. O animal apresentou uma estabilização dos corpos mandibulares, com a manutenção da oclusão anterior à mandibulectomia, sem apresentar sinais de dificuldade de apreensão, mastigação e deglutição dos alimentos, e sem deiscência dos pontos e exposição da placa durante o período avaliado. A crista ilíaca apresentou um adequado preenchimento da falha mandibular. O proprietário ficou satisfeito com os resultados funcionais e cosméticos do animal.
