Abstract
Cet article propose d’étudier la « Lettre à Éva », récit que Claude Courtot (1939) rédige pour la préface du catalogue de l’exposition surréaliste de 1967 à São Paulo, et qui, en 1971, est publié dans Carrefour des errances. Pour ce faire, d’abord, nous présentons une partie du parcours de l’écrivain qui en 1964 devient membre du groupe surréaliste parisien jusqu’en octobre 1969, année de l’autodissolution de ce collectif. Ensuite, nous analysons le récit, en essayant de repérer les options fondamentales du surréalisme qui y sont affirmées. Nous finissons par exposer quelques conclusions concernant la vision surréaliste du monde que l’on peut percevoir dans la “Lettre à Éva”, texte dont l’écriture très réfléchie comporte néanmoins des éléments d’errance poétique.
