Partindo de um lugar fronteiriço entre os campos da Imagem e da Educação, o presente trabalho explora a condição visível da escola e de sua dita “crise” no tempo presente. Diante do conjunto de imagens que forma o arquivo desta tese, teço um conjunto de análises que perseguem os seguintes questionamentos: quais os regimes de visibilidade operam sobre as ordens discursivas da escola do tempo presente? Está a escola em uma crise que levará a seu fim? Quais as relações entre os regimes de visibilidade da escola do tempo presente e os pressupostos de sua crise? Compreender os regimes de visibilidade escolar que imaginam a escola do tempo presente, ensaiando sobre como imagens da escola implicam na sua forma de organização e funcionamento, torna-se, assim, nosso objetivo geral. Os objetivos específicos são: (a) produzir um arquivo imagético sobre a escola; (b) montar tais arquivos visuais, relacionando-os entre si; (c) refletir sobre os desdobramentos da montagem desses arquivos sobre os modos de organização escolar. Divido, assim, esta tese em duas partes. Na Parte I – Sobre a Escola Enunciável, além de introduzir o texto (capítulo 1), produzo uma série de reflexões teórico-metodológicas (capítulo 2) que giram em torno dos pressupostos sobre a escola e sua crise (tópico 2.1), além das relações desta crise com as políticas neoliberais (tópico 2.2), principalmente a partir das discussões de Masschelein e Simons (2014, 2023a, 2023b), Larrosa (2023), Vale (1997), Varela e Alvarez-Uria (1992) e Dussel e Caruso (2003); Laval (2019, 2020), Dadot e Laval (2016), Laval e Vergne (2023), Bourdieu e Passeron (1992) e Bernstein (1996). Além disso, tecemos reflexões sobre a imagem e as subjetividades visuais no tempo presente (tópico 2.3), principalmente desdobrado esses pressupostos na organização metodológica desta tese (tópicos 2.4 e 2.5), através de autores como Mitchell (1995), Rancière (2012a, 2012b, 2012c, 2015) Didi- Huberman (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015a, 2015c, 2015d, 2017, 2018, 2020), Deleuze (1998, 2008, 2012, 2017) e Foucault (1987, 1988, 2000, 2008a, 2008b). Na parte II – Sobre a Escola Visível, monto ensaios de pensamento organizados em dois capítulos: (capítulo 3) Escola que tocamos: sobre os prédios e objetos; e (capítulo 4) Escola que fazemos: práticas escolares e seus sujeitos. Em tais ensaios, tento dar a ver um conjunto de “imagens” da escola e a condição visível que elas instauram, para perceber o regime de visibilidade que as engendra. Assim, a tese que tentamos demonstrar é, justamente, que a imagem da escola do tempo presente se constitui a partir de um regime de visibilidade contingente-dispersante, dos quais provém o que chamamos, aqui, de Imagem-Escola (capítulo 5).
