Abstract
Toda a pessoa minimamente atenta a questão ambiental percebe o uso abusivo deplásticos nos nossos quotidianos. As inúmeras sacolas de lojas e supermercados em cada compra, os copos de plástico para todo o lado, as garrafas e embalagens de pet para tudo. Enfim, o mundo está inundado pelo plástico, polui córregos, rios, lagoas, oceanos e tambem becos eruas do mundo todo. Agora, ficamos sabendo, estarrecidos, que os plásticos invadem nossos corpos, com ameaças reais, mas ainda não totalmente conhecidas na sua amplitude e profundidade, que estao sendo investigadas pelos cientistas. Apesar deste absurdo, a reunião do Comitê Intergovernamental de Negociação para Desenvolver um Instrumento Internacional Juridicamente Vinculativo sobre Poluição Plástica, inclusive no Ambiente Marinho, realizada na última semana em Genebra lamentavelmente fracassou.
