Abstract
Codex Lucca, Biblioteca Capitolare Feliniana 93 is a composite manuscript consisting of three sections that serves as the Liber Capituli of the Benedictine female monastery of Pontetetto near Lucca. The first section contains a normative text of twenty-six chapters in vernacular, the second includes the Regula Benedicti accompanied by its vernacular translation and the third consists of a homiliary and an obituary calendar, both in Latin. The first two sections can be dated to the last quarter of the 13th century, while the third dates back to the 12th century. The aim of the present contribution is the analysis of the codex in all its parts. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the codex and the monastery, the linguistic aspects of the vernacular translation of the Regula, which exhibits features traceable to different geographical areas of the Italian peninsula, the relationship between this text and its Latin source and the characteristics of the obituary contained in the third section
