Abstract

Cet article présente le projet interdisciplinaire du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), lancé en 2021, pour réduire la violence en salle d’urgence, soutenir le personnel et améliorer l’expérience des personnes soignées. Issu d’une démarche participative intégrant notamment des patients partenaires, il a permis de mettre en place diverses mesures telles que le réaménagement de la salle d’attente, de nouveaux outils de communication, des formations ciblées et l’intégration d’intervenants psychosociaux. Nous souhaitons que cette expérience puisse inspirer d’autres milieux cliniques à développer des initiatives adaptées à leur propre contexte.
