Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Descriptive Buildings Record (level 2) Historic building recording (HE: Level 2) was carried out during November 2024 at the Ashleigh Works and Villa, 24 Bromsgrove Road, Redditch, Worcestershire in advance of residential development of the site comprising conversion of the vacant factory into eight apartments. The Villa has previously been converted into apartments and is now occupied. The site lies on the western edge of the historic core of the town near to the railway station. The buildings are part of the settlement's urban heritage and considered of historic and archaeological importance. The significance of the Ashleigh Works as a heritage asset should be understood within the context as part of the built Victorian and Edwardian heritage in Redditch Town. The factory is said to have been erected in 1908 which would correspond both stylistically and cartographically with an Edwardian date (post OS Second Edition) for its construction. The Villa is first shown on the 1886 OS, it stylistically dates to the second quarter of the C19, but is probably pre-Victorian. The Villa was likely built to accommodate the owner of the earlier and smaller workshops which occupied the rear of the plot prior to the later construction of the Ashleigh Works.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
