Abstract
Dans le domaine de la philosophie de l’éducation, la crise climatique actuelle nous invite à interroger le rôle des universités dans la formation de nos imaginaires et tout particulièrement, les représentations qui font des universitaires des individus peu concernés par cette crise planétaire. Nous explorons dans cet article la notion de représentation cosmologique pour penser les récits que se font les universitaires de leurs tâches éducatives, de leur rapport aux savoirs et de leurs rôles dans la société. Ce faisant, nous cherchons 1) à tracer les grandes lignes d’un récit des universités en Occident à partir de ces représentations cosmologiques ; 2) à imaginer une réorientation de ces dernières par une perspective d’écologie radicale. Ce travail de philosophie de l’éducation est strictement spéculatif et prospectif. Il a pour modeste vocation d’ouvrir des questions et d’initier une discussion.
