Abstract
Naming objects of the world comes from observation, linked to analogical thinking derived from the observer’s memory. Naming a work of art is part of a different approach in which the emotional field, linked to beauty and harmony, is activated. This paper refers to works of art by the Romanian artist, painter and sculptor Mircea Bochiş. The study also pays attention to works created by other artists, based on the observation of other pictorial or poetic works. Naming a work of art is a part of the creativity process that is sometimes associated with analogical thinking linked to the artist’s experience.
