Cet article a pour objectif de présenter un projet de recherche collaboratif : Phonologie du créole et du français mauricien. Démarré en 2023, ce projet a pour mission de combler l’absence d’une description systématique des systèmes phonologiques du créole et du français mauricien. Nous avons choisi de nous focaliser sur la description du système phonologique du créole mauricien, ce qui ne nous empêchera pas de faire des comparaisons avec celui du français mauricien, étant donné le contact permanent entre ces deux langues à Maurice, de même que d’analyser des phénomènes de contact (emprunts, alternances codiques, etc.). Cet article met l’accent sur le protocole d’enquête, notamment sur la liste de mots-cibles élicités essentiellement par des images. De plus, il présente les profils sociodémographiques des 20 premiers participants.
