Abstract
El moviment cultural de la Nova Cançó a Amèrica Llatina (1960-1970) va ser un difusor i formador polític i sentimental popular per excel·lència en els processos revolucionaris. Els cantaires i cantaires componien i compartien cançons en clau reivindicativa i compromesa amb un discurs revolucionari les retòriques del qual exalçaven la lluita armada necessària per construir el futur, així com proposaven determinades imatges i models: l'Home Nou, la Mare Pàtria, la Dona Nova i la nova generació que vindrà. Aquest treball proposa analitzar des d'una perspectiva feminista les figures ofertes per la Nova Cançó llatinoamericana atenent, especialment, l'eix de la maternitat.
