Abstract
Kırılganlık, fizyolojik rezervin azalması sonucu çeşitli stres faktörlerine karşı artmış savunmasızlık durumudur. Yaşlanma kırılganlık üzerine şüphesiz güçlü bir etkendir ancak tek başına bir belirleyici değildir. Kırılganlığı ölçmek için standart bir yöntem olmamakla birlikte Edmonton, Rockwood, Fried gibi geçerliliği kanıtlanmış pek çok ölçek tanımlanmıştır.Klinik kırılganlık ölçeği (CFS), hızlı, kolay uygulanabilir ve doktor dışı sağlık çalışanları tarafından da kullanılabilmesi ile ön plana çıkmaktadır. CFS, komorbidite, bilişsel bozukluk, engellilik ve fiziksel kırılganlığı değerlendiren maddelerin bir bileşimidir. Dokuz puanlık bir ölçek olup değerlendirme puanının yüksekliği kırılganlık düzeyini gösterir. Mortalite, komorbidite, komplikasyon, hastanede yatış süresi, düşme gibi kötü sonuçlar için prediktif değer taşımaktadır.
