Abstract
This well-researched study engages with French and Francophone theatre-makers who have brought to light two episodes in French history that had been purposely suppressed: collaboration with the Vichy regime during World War II and human rights’ abuses during the Algerian War for independence (1954–1962). Highly recommended for practitioners and students of political theatre.
