Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, genç yetişkinlerde aleksitiminin incelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda aleksitiminin internet kullanımı düzeyiyle, algılanan yalnızlık, benlik saygısı ve empati düzeyleriyle, COVID-19 pandemisine yönelik kaygıyla ve demografik değişkenlerle ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın yöntemi korelasyonel tarama modeli olup, örneklemi ise uygun örnekleme yöntemiyle Türkiye'de bulunan, 18-35 yaş aralığı 289 genç yetişkinden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplamak için Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Pandemik Kaygı Ölçeği ve Toronto Aleksitimi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ilişkisiz örneklemler t-testi, Pearson korelasyonu ve tek faktörlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda aleksitimi ile yaş, algılanan empati ve benlik saygısı arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Aleksitimi ile algılanan utangaçlık ve yalnızlık arasında ve pandemiye yönelik kaygı arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Aleksitimi ile medeni durum ve internet kullanım düzeyi arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Aleksitimi ile cinsiyet, yaşamın ilk 10 yılının geçtiği yerin gelişmişlik düzeyi, eğitim düzeyi, çalışma durumu ve sosyo-ekonomik düzey arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır.
