En esta investigación nos centraremos en las opiniones de los universitarios sobre la práctica de actividades físico-deportivas porque nos permitirá establecer qué aspectos se pueden potenciar para una mayor comprensión y desarrollo de la práctica, como prevención para el posible abandono, ya que un gran porcentaje de los participantes en estos estudios están inactivos a pesar del reconocimiento general de la importancia de la actividad física para la salud. Con este fin hemos desarrollado el cuestionario CAMIAF (Cuestionario de Actitudes, Motivaciones e Intereses hacia las Actividades Físico-deportivas) aplicado a una muestra de 801 estudiantes. Para el tratamiento de los datos se han realizado diversos análisis de varianza. Tras analizar las opiniones de la muestra universitaria, se ha podido comprobar que la mayoría de los alumnos no se sienten satisfechos con la oferta de su Universidad, a pesar de valorar positivamente la importancia de la Educación Física y el deporte, de tal manera que cuanto mayor es el nivel de práctica físico-deportiva, mayor es la insatisfacción con los programas e instalaciones deportivas universitarias.
