Abstract
Se brindan algunos datos acerca del doctor Julio Jacinto Le Riverend Longrou, un médico francés establecido en La Habana en 1824, quien fue el fundador de la revista médica cubana El Observador Habanero. Se examinan varios aspectos en relación con el origen, el objetivo y algunos aspectos formales de la revista y se presenta un repertorio a modo de inventario de los 330 trabajos que se publicaron en el total de 39 números editados de ella durante el tiempo que circuló entre 1844 y 1848. Este repertorio consta de un índice bibliográfico, en el cual se relacionan en orden cronológico y en el estilo Vancouver, las referencias de todos los trabajos. Asimismo dispone de un índice de autores, donde aparece la relación alfabética de los firmantes de los artículos consignados en el cuerpo principal, así como de un índice de materias que contiene los descriptores y calificadores que identifican alfabéticamente los asuntos generales y específicos tratados en cada artículo citado.
