Abstract
Este trabajo busca estimar el monto del salario mínimo necesario para alcanzar el pleno empleo. Para ello se parte de una hipótesis post-keynesiana donde se entiende que el salario es un mecanismo macroeconómico que altera la demanda agregada en lugar de suponer que es un costo para la firma. Por lo cual se realiza un análisis econométrico bajo la modelación econométrica de Vector Error Correction (V.E.C) en EVIEWS para encontrar la relación entre el salario mínimo con el uso de la capacidad instalada y el Producto Interno Bruto (P.I.B). Prosiguiendo con el análisis económetrico metodológicamente se sigue la estimación del monto del salario mínimo mediante una regresión de mínimos cuadrados ordinarios (M.C.O) basada en la técnica simple de estimación de la tasa de crecimiento natural que planteó (Thirwall, 1969) y finalmente se ofrecen algunas conclusiones que se espera alimenten el debate sobre la negociación del salario mínimo en Colombia
