Abstract
Bu çalışmada aleksitimi ve duygusal yeme arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda depresyon, anksiyete ve stres değişkenleri kontrol edilerek; cinsiyet, beden kitle indeksi ve aleksitiminin duygusal yeme üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini; Hukuk, İşletme, İktisat, Siyaset Bilimi ve Uluslararası İlişkiler, Uluslararası Ticaret ve Lojistik, Mimarlık, Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Özel Eğitim ve Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon bölümlerinde okuyan 378 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplamada Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Türkçe Duygusal Yeme Ölçeği, Toronto Aleksitimi Ölçeği (TAÖ-20) ve Depresyon Anksiyete Stres Ölçeği (DASÖ) kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda depresyon, anksiyete ve stres değişkenleri kontrol edildiğinde aleksitiminin duygusal yeme üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi bulunmamıştır.Cinsiyetin sadeceduygusal yemenin alt boyutlarından, olumsuz duygularla başa çıkabilmek için yeme boyutu üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi bulunmuştur. BKİ'nin duygusal yeme üzerindeki etkisine bakıldığında sadece kendini kontrol edebilme boyutu üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi bulunmuştur.Analizler sonucunda elde edilen bulgular ilgili literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.
