Abstract
Dans cet article, l’autrice explore le phénomène de la simulation de l’orgasme féminin dans le cadre de relations sexuelles hétérosexuelles consenties. Elle propose de comprendre ce phénomène d’autoaliénation des désirs et des besoins par les femmes comme une forme de mystification, telle que définie par Simone de Beauvoir dans Le deuxième sexe . Articulant les travaux en phénoménologie beauvoirienne (Garcia, Froidevaux-Metterie, Young), sur l’oppression épistémique et l’étouffement testimonial (Dotson) et les éthiques du care , l’autrice en conclut que la simulation de l’orgasme peut être considérée comme une faute existentielle, en ce sens qu’il s’agit de renoncement à la liberté. Toutefois, si les femmes partagent une part de responsabilité dans cette forme d’oppression, elles n’en sont toutefois pas coupables, étant donné leur situation particulière dans la société patriarcale où leurs possibilités d’actions (transcendance) sont limitées.
