Accurate prediction of an electric vehicle’s (EV) state of charge (SoC) is crucial for alleviating range anxiety and improving user confidence. This research presents machine learning (ML) models developed using a dataset comprising 70 driving trips of a BMW i3 model. Each trip includes attributes such as driving speed, ambient temperature, acceleration, heating and air conditioning power, and battery parameters for both summer and winter conditions. By providing precise SoC predictions, this research enhances the EV user experience, encourages broader adoption of EVs, supports the automotive industry in addressing consumer concerns, and promotes the transition to sustainable transportation. The proposed framework achieves competitive performance and the findings have significant implications for industry adoption and are poised to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world application.
