Le 9 avril 1845 Victor Hugo écrit au représentant du roi de Suède à Paris, le comte G. C. F. Löwenhjelm en lui confiant deux exemplaires de Notre-Dame de Paris destinés au roi Oscar Ier et au secrétaire perpétuel de l’Académie suédoise, Bernhard von Beskow. Par sa date et son contenu, cette lettre se rattache à la correspondance de Hugo avec Beskow publiée dans le numéro précédent de la RHLF.
